Luke Cole, 16, was fishing July 21 at a farm pond when he caught a 24-inch 8-pound bass. It sure made his day.

Wanda Parker said there was a reunion of the Sloan side of her family at the Joy Ewert home. She said there were about 30 family members there, some of whom from out of state.

Greg and Marie Gillaspie and children, Peggy and Ed Gillaspie and Drew and Evelyn Schwinn enjoyed lunch Sunday at Applebee’s. Later they went to Drew’s new home.

Kyle Schwinn, son of Bill and Brenda Schwinn, turned 20 on July 26. He enjoyed a party at his home.

Amy Jo Moore turned 28 on July 29. Her sister, Jennifer Roggenkamp of Saint Marys came to help her celebrate by going to the Leavenworth County Fair.

Jennifer Roggenkamp, Brayden, Blayke and Evelyn visited Grandma Evelyn Schwinn. The little ones are such a joy.

Marlin Woodhead, Anabel Knapp’s brother from Lenexa, visited Wayne and Anabel Knapp. He had some of the relatives with him.

Wayne and Anabel went July 29 to Tonganoxie for the Leavenworth County Fair Parade. It was a nice evening and the parade lasted nearly an hour. They ate at the fairgrounds, which had a big crowd.
