“I would sit in my room and ‘teach’ all of my dolls and animals for hours,” Eaton said.

Digging deeper: A stay-at-home mother, Eaton said that in a way she has become a teacher.

About three years ago she started The Ruffled Daisy, a home-based crafting business that offers classes, as well as items for sale.

She creates anything from home decor and small furniture pieces to jewelry, wedding decor and special fundraiser pieces.

“You could sorta call me the buffet of the crafting world,” Eaton said. “I offer a variety of things and if I am ever approached with a new project, I always do the best I can to bring it to fruition for my customer.”

As the business has grown, she has cut down her craft workshops to about two large events a year.

Most of her time is spent designing and creating special home décor pieces for customers. She said the holiday season is her busiest time of year. To see more about her crafts, readers can visit theruffleddaisy.org or visit the business’ Facebook page.

Eaton said her husband, who works for BNSF Railway, allows her to chase her dreams.

“He is the biggest supporter of me, and I couldn’t ask for a better life partner,” she said.
