The police department released a statement saying the museum, 630 N. 126th St., was burglarized on Sept. 10 and again on Nov. 5. Several museum-quality items were stolen, so police hope the unique items would be easily identified.

Stolen items included at least five mantel clocks, antique toys, miscellaneous video equipment, an antique coin collection valued at $25,000, cast iron coin banks, agricultural models, cast iron kitchen tools and other museum items.

Police reported there are no suspects at this time.

Just before the second burglary, Clausie Smith, president of the Ag Hall’s board of directors, told The Chieftain newspaper that the museum’s computers and the coin collection were stolen in the first burglary. He said the museum was in the process of installing a better security system.
