Three McLouth High cross country runners represented the Bulldogs on Saturday at the Class 2A state meet at Wamego Country Club.

Ryan Bristol and Tristan Funk ran in the boys race, placing 37th and 47th, respectively.

Freshman Ceara Funk was the first McLouth female state qualifier since the Bulldogs earned a team bid in 2004. She finished 56th with a time of 18:32.3.

Maranatha Christian Academy swept the 2A team titles. The boys won their championship with a score of 57, beating out Salina-Sacred Heart by 29 points. The girls, who had four of the top six individual finishers, posted a team score of 32, defeating runner-up Ellinwood by 40 points.
