The program, which supplies Tonganoxie Elementary School students in need with food, is running low on supplies. With Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks coming up, it’s even more important to have food and snacks available for the youths, organizers say.

Fruit, pudding cups, peanut butter, jelly, cereal, individual servings of macaroni and cheese, canned items, apple sauce and other snack items are welcome.

Tonganoxie United Methodist Church will be collecting food from 8 a.m.-noon Saturday at Brother’s Market.

American Legion Post 41 Women’s Auxiliary also will be collecting food for the program from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. this Saturday and Dec. 6 at Dollar General and Brother’s Market in Tonganoxie.
