Marilyn Michaels was presented the Sunflower Award for organizing the Leavenworth County Spelling Bee. Gerald Carder was recognized for having the most volunteer hours for the year.

Speakers addressed the group after dinner. Jerry Reinhardt spoke to the group about the Leavenworth Carousel Museum and the need for volunteers. Two representatives from Association Member Benefits Advisors spoke about various insurances that are offered to retired teachers. AMBA also presented three door prizes to those in attendance.
