McLouth will get into the holiday spirit with its annual tree lighting ceremony this weekend.

The ceremony will be 4-6 p.m. Saturday at the city park in downtown McLouth.

Visitors are welcome to put up a Christmas tree of their own creation in the park as well. Set up and removal will be the responsibility of the tree owners. Setup began Friday and participants have the rest of the week to include their trees. They just need to be ready to light on Saturday.

Food will be served and music played at the event.

In the event of inclement weather, festivities will move indoors to the McLouth Fire Station, 104 W. Lucy St.
