First State Bank and Trust presents checks to local school districts
First State Bank and Trust representatives present checks to Tonganoxie USD 464 at left, and McLouth USD 342, at right, as part of the bank’s debit card fundraiser drive in which a donatiion to the school is made for every transacton customers make with their respective school pride debit cards. Bank employees will be on hand at Friday’s Tongie Tailgate as well for a special presentation.
First State Bank and Trust has been treating local school district faculty and staffs with back-to-school lunches and breakfasts.
The local bank also has been presenting districts with proceeds from their ongoing school pride debit card programs.
Customers help give money back with their debit cards every time they make a purchase.
The Chieftain Card Program in Tonganoxie garnered $23,767.75 for the district for the last year. Tonganoxie led the way among local districts once again.
In total, the program has provided USD 464 with $240,297.40 to support students and schools.
The Bulldog Card Program in McLouth raised $2,618 for the year. The bank now has donated $31,079 to USD 342 since the program was started.
First State Bank and Trust provided McLouth faculty and staff with a lunch and presented the check recently.
For the Basehor-Linwood schoold district, the bank presented a check for $18,665 thanks to the Bobcat Card Program. In total, USD 458 has received $184,176 from the bank through the program.
And at Piper, bank employees welcomed faculty and staff with a back-to-school lunch and explaiend the Pirate Card Program.
First State Bank and Trust has donated $39,715 to USD 203 since the inception of the program.
