The Vietnam Memorial Wall is expected to make its way to the parking lot of Fareway Market, 15790 State Ave. in Basehor on Thursday morning.

It’s expected to get a police escort no later than 9:40 a.m. Thursday and then will head west on U.S. Highway 24-40 to Tonganoxie where the Tonganoxie Police Department will continue the escort at U.S. 24-40 and Stone Creek Drive. From there, it will make its way to VFW Park, 900 E. First St., where the Tonganoxie City Fire Department will meet the wall.

The traveling exhibit will be on display until early Monday.

This marks the third time the wall will be making a stop in Tonganoxie, though it’s the first since 1999. It also was in Tonganoxie in 1996.
