FFA Week starts Saturday with Community Breakfast at Tonganoxie High
The Tonganoxie FFA Chapter will kick off National FFA Week with it’s Community Breakfast.
The high school students will be serving up breakfast from 6-10 a.m. at the THS cafeteria.
As is tradition, the breakfast kicks off FFA Week activities at Tonganoxie High as the local chapter participates in the national celebration.
Tonganoxie USD 464 School Board President Jim Bothwell read a proclamation during Monday’s board meeting designating Feb. 18-25 as National FFA Week and recognizing Tonganoxie’s chapter.
THS students will be doing various activities during the school week as well, but other community events next week are the FFA Open House at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 23 at the THS agriculture facilities.
Also that evening there will be a dinner starting at 5:30 p.m. in the THS cafeteria and a fundraising auction to start at 6 p.m. at the cafeteria.
Money raised from the pie auction and silent and live auctions will help provide scholarships for the 2024 seniors headed to technical training or college.
