Tonganoxie students named to Dean’s Honor Roll at, graduate from Wichita State

Wichita State University has announced its Dean’s Honor Roll and graduates for the fall of 2024. Both lists include Tonganoxie names.
WSU earlier this week announced the names of 3,865 students who were on the WSU Dean’s Honor Roll for fall 2024.
To be included on the dean’s honor roll, a student must be enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours) and earn at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
WSU students from Tonganoxie on the list are Elizabeth A. Graveman, Joshua E. Wilson, Mary H. Harbour, Carly K. Overacker, Brook L. Reed, Tabor L. Sittner and Noah P. Skelley.
More than 1,240 students also completed a total of 1,378 degrees and certificates at Wichita State University in fall 2024.
The breakdown of degrees and certificates granted includes 908 degrees and certificates for 845 undergraduate students and 470 degrees and certificates for 397 graduate students.
And of those earning a bachelor’s degree, 47 were summa cum laude, 223 were magna cum laude, and 123 were cum laude.
Undergraduate students who have attained a grade point average of 3.9 out of a possible 4.0 received the summa cum laude award; those with an average of 3.55 received the magna cum laude award; and those with an average of 3.25 received the cum laude.
Tonganoxie graduates for the fall of 2024 are Madelynn F. Bell, Bachelor of Business Admin., Business Administration, Magna Cum Laude; Carly K. Overacker, Bachelor of Science, Applied Engineering, Summa Cum Laude and Undergraduate Certificate, Sustain Water Tech Certificate.
