Tonganoxie USD 464 again will be serving up hot dogs and refreshments during the event Friday evening. Classes started Tuesday for some students, with today being the first full day of classes.

Festivities start with a volleyball scrimmage at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Chieftain Arena. The scrimmage will be fans’ first look at first-year Barry Lenth’s Tonganoxie team. Lenth comes to THS after a decorated career at Olathe Northwest.

The Tongie Tailgate will then be next door at Beatty Field with activities to run from 5:15-7 p.m.

Various district teams will be recognized, as well as students for academic achievements throughout the tailgate.

Here’s a tentative schedule for Friday’s festivities:

5:30 p.m., THS Band

5:40 p.m., Soccer

5:43p.m., First State Bank Check (During Soccer)

5:58p.m., FFA Officers (During Soccer)

6:05 p.m., 2022-23 TES Students of the Month

6:12 p.m., TMS and THS Cheer Squads

6:20 p.m., TMS and THS Football

6:24 p.m., Girls Golf (during football)

6:30 p.m., TMS and THS Cross Country (during football)

6:45 p.m., THS Dance

6:55 p.m., Finish
