Fort Leavenworth USD 207, Atchison County USD 377 (Effingham), Atchison USD 409, Maur Hill-Mount Academy (Atchison), Jefferson County North USD 339, Perry-Lecompton USD 343 will not have school Monday. McLouth USD 342 also will not have classes, as school officials made the decision early Monday morning. The district’s Facebook page shared the news around 5:30 a.m.

Winter weather has forced the cancellation of several north central Kansas schools as well. The closings have extended to universities, Cloud County Community College in Concordia and Fort Hays State University in Hays have canceled classes.

There will be early dismissal at 3 p.m. for Kansas State University in Manhattan.
