Tonganoxie High School to perform ‘The Spongebob Musical’ 3 days this week
The Tonganoxie High School Performing Arts Department will present “The Spongebob Musical” this week.
Performances will be 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students K-12 and senior citizens.
Tickets can be purchased at the door.
Several THS students will be performing in the production.
Goose Morgan will be SpongeBob SquarePants, while Gavin Garner is Patrick Star. Tye Baldwin is Sandy Cheeks and Joshua Duvall is Squidward Tentacles.Tyson King is playing the role of Eugene Krabs and Kizer Morando is Sheldon Plankton.
Chaynee Howell offers the pre-recorded voice of the French Narrator. Archer Grier is Patchy the Pirate, while Talor Brents is Karen, a computer and Broooke Eis is Perch Perkins, a news anchor.
Chaynee Howell will play the role of Pearl Krabs, a whale, and Kate Carter the Mayor of Bikini Bottom. Ave Waite is Mrs. Puff, a pufferfish, and Allison Baldwin is Larry the Lobster. Taking on the role of Old Man Jenkins is Maya Romero, while Buster Bluetang is Odette McCloud.
The Electric Skates are Danielle Miller, Morgan Melaas and Alyssa Schmid.
Sardine Devotees are Rosalea Francis, Melody Magnussen, Allie Skinner, Payton Frost and Palyn Shogren.
Winston Makin is Johnny the Bartender, while Lilly Fouts and Annalise Fouts are theater security guards.
Emma Schmidt, Kali Brown, Allison Bailey, Sierra Melaas, Ari Findley, Julian Haas and AJ Schulenberg.
Winston Makin will take on the role of Gary the Snail as a puppet.
The musical is based on the series by Stephen Hillenburg and the book by Kyle Jarrow.
Original songs in the musical are by Yolanda Adams, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, and Sara Bareilles and Jonathan Coulton, as well as Alex Ebert of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. The Flaming Lips, Lady A, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Daniel at the Disco, Plain White T’s, They Might be Giants and T.I. also have original songs, along with additional songs by David Bowie, Tom Kenny and Andy Paley.
