Tonganoxie officially opens new Stone Creek subdivision
Tonganoxie celebrated its newest subdivision with a grand opening of Rausch Coleman Homes’ Stone Creek subdivision on the east side of the city.
Community leaders joined with Rausch Coleman representatives for a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday.
The development company officially opened the subdivision with a ribbon cutting as Tonganoxie Business Association members, community members and other dignitaries looked on.

Rausch Coleman served a barbecue meal and offered various swag and refreshments as part of a three-hour open house Friday.
The new development is the first neighborhood Rausch Coleman Homes has built in Tonganoxie.
“With Stone Creek, we aim to provide attainable homeownership opportunities without compromising quality,” said Lori, sales professional for Rausch Coleman Homes. “Our focus is delivering homes that are not only affordable but also well-designed and built to last.”
Stone Creek will offer Tonganoxie families and individuals the chance to build their future through homeownership and have a significant impact on the local economy.
The Stone Creek development will bring 145 newly constructed homes to the area, built over two phases. Homeowners interested in this community can choose from a variety of floorplans, ranging in size from 3-bedroom layouts to spacious 4-bedroom options.
Prices range from $250,000 to around $290,000, depending on floorplan and personalized upgrades chosen by homeowners.
“As a company, our focus is improving quality of life, one home at a time, and Stone Creek is our way of expanding that mission to Tonganoxie,” said Shawn Cheever, division manager for Rausch Coleman Homes in Kansas City. “We’re excited to bring new homeownership opportunities to the Tonganoxie community with the opening of this new development.”
The Tonganoxie City Council also approve replatting measures during its regular meeting Monday night. The changes accounted for updated easement for the property.
The development can be seen from U.S. Highway 24-40 when coming into town from the east, as the subdivision extends to the east near the Tonganoxie welcome sign north of U.S. 24-40 on that side of the city.
Rausch Coleman Homes currently manages four other communities in the Kansas City metro, with this new development marking the company’s fifth community in the state of Kansas. For more information on Stone Creek and to explore available homes, visit rch.com.
