Starting Thursday and concluding Dec. 1, local law enforcement members will be participating in the campaign. Although all Kansas Traffic Laws will be enforced, this extra provision will be actively enforcing our occupant protection laws.

The Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office reminds motorists that buckling up saves lives.

“Buckle up, every trip, every time,” the press release reads. “It’s your best defense in case of crash. Do it, if not for you, do it for them.

The campaign is supported by a grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation.
