Jefferson County Historical Society’s annual fundraiser, “Old Jefferson Town Day and Tractor Drive,” is scheduled for Aug. 23 on U.S. Highway 59 in Oskaloosa.

There will be tractor rides, exhibits and demonstrations planned.

Some of the exhibits being organized are for small engines, cars, trucks, motorcycles, antique toys and pedal tractors.

Blacksmith shop and weaving demonstrations also are planned.

Visitors also can dine at the event. Cost is $15 for adults and youths 13 and older and $5 for youths 12 and younger.

Proceeds from this event will provide funds for repairs to the 11 vintage buildings at Old Jefferson Town, to safeguard artifacts and to foster education exhibits.

Tractor driver registration will be 8 a.m., with the tractor drive starting at 8:30 a.m.

Old Jefferson Town buildings are open to visitors starting at 9 a.m.

Lunch will be served starting at 11:30 a.m.

Awana club registration begins next month

Awana Kids Club begins Sept. 3 at First Baptist Church of McLouth.

Kids preschool (going to Kindergarten in 2026 or 2027) through fifth-graders are invited to join from 6:30-7:45 p.m.
