Letters to Santa program is underway

Through Monday, youths can write a letter to Santa and bring it to the library or use one of our letter forms at the front desk.

Miss Katie, children’s librarian, will make sure the letters make their way to Santa in time for Christmas! Children will receive a letter back from Santa, too. For youths of all ages (or even the young at heart!).

Just make sure to have your child’s letter turned into the library by Monday to ensure a return from Santa.

Gift-Making Workshop for youths is next week

It’s often harder for kids to make or buy a gift for someone special in their life, and the library is offering them a chance at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday to make their very own gift in this workshop.

We can’t say exactly what the gift will be to keep it a secret, but they’ll be able to make a gift, wrap it and have it ready for the holidays. This is for kids of all ages and is free to attend, but it does require registration by calling the library at 913-845-3281.

Holiday wrapping party next week

Wrap away in our holiday wrap party on Wednesday, Dec. 17!

Do you have prying eyes at home? Need more table space to wrap? Low on supplies? We’ve got you covered with our wrapping party.

Drop in from 6-8:00 p.m. and enjoy cookies, cocoa and a wide variety of wrapping supplies (papers, tape, and scissors). You may also bring anything from home you’d like to use. This is for adults, youths over the age of 12 years old, or families.

Give us a call at 913-845-3281 to register (and let us know how many people will be attending) so we can have enough supplies ready.
