Traveling around the world

You’re invited to explore the world with freelance writer and traveler Pam Grout when she visits the Tonganoxie Public Library at 1 p.m. Thursday.

She’s a world traveler visiting places such as Africa, Ireland, Mexico and so many more destinations that we can’t wait to hear about. Program participants can also bring photos, if desired, and share travel stories of their own as this program can be interactive.

It’s also geared towards adults, but older youths are welcome to attend as well.

Slip n’ Slide night for youths Thursday

The weather is hot and the fun is wet!

Children of all ages can take turns on a variety of slip n’ slides starting at 5 p.m. Thursday outside the library. Which one of the epic slides will be their favorite?

No registration is required. Children should just come dressed to get wet!

Special outdoor storytime at Chieftain Park next week

Children’s librarian Miss Katie is heading over to Chieftain Park at noon Monday for a special outdoor storytime that is sure to make a splash. During stories, kids might find themselves in the splash zone, and following storytime, they’ll be able to continue the water fun with a variety of water toys, sprinklers and interactive activities.

Participants should meet directly at Chieftain Park and not come to the library.

Travel London in July

Freelance writer and traveler, Lauren Keith, knows the very best bits of London and beyond after living in the city for 10 years. The Churchill Museum, Highgate Cemetery, the Kyoto Gardens, or even Floatworks, a floatation centre, are just a few of the experiences to be had! Lauren will share the city she loves with all of us on Tues., July 8th at 6:30 pm.
