During the Click It or Ticket May 18-June 1, drivers will be met with extra enforcement by the sheriff’s office and other agencies across the state.

Officers will be on the lookout for the unrestrained drivers, passengers and children traveling local roads.

“Your seat belt could be what saves you and those riding with you,” Leavenworth County Sheriff Andy Dedeke said. “Insist that everyone in the vehicle is retrained before you start.”

Both the sheriff’s office and TPD are committed to traffic safety and educating the drivers of adult seat belt and child safety laws, as well as other traffic infractions because we want you to be as safe as possible on your travels.
