Mosaic frame craft for adults Thursday

We have a pretty and easy craft at 6:30 p.m. Thursday for adults and those 14 years and older at Tonganoxie Public Library.

We’ll be creating 5″x 7″ mosaic frames with square glass tiles. It’s the perfect way to showcase a special photo memory! All supplies will be provided, but registration is required. Give the library a call at 913-845-3281 to save a spot. Space is limited!

Library scavenger hunt begins next week

Youths will have a chance to participate in a Thanksgiving-themed scavenger hunt starting Monday and going through Nov. 17.

Mr. Turkey has lost his feathers, and they’ll need to locate them throughout the library. Kids who would like to participate can pick up a sheet at the front desk to get started.

Final discussion in book talk series

It’s the final book discussion in our three part series with Sr. Rosemary Kolich from the University of Saint Mary at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12.

There’s still plenty of time to pick up the final book, “Medicine Walk,” before the discussion, with copies available at the library’s front desk. You can also attend the November discussion even if you missed out on the previous ones.

Be sure to join us for an interesting read and talk!

Yarn and Fabric exchange next weekend

The annual Yarn and Fabric Exchange returns this November .

It will be 11 a.m. Nov. 15. Those who would like to participate should drop off their yarn, fabric or related accessories between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Then those people who bring items to exchange will be able to “shop” the exchange first from 11 a.m.-noon. After noon, anyone can come to the exchange regardless of whether they donate. There’s always a full room of supplies to take a look at, and everything is free to a new home.
