Flashbacks fundraiser at 1866 moved to this Sunday

Tonganoxie has eclipsed a population of 5,500, according to estimates recently released. The next official county will come with the 2020 U.S. Census.

Inclement weather over the weekend led to the postponement of a fundraiser for Flashbacks.

The event now will be 8 a.m.-2 p.m. this Sunday at 1866 restaurant, 416 E. Fourth St.. Breakfast burritos will be served from 8-11 a.m. and taco meals will be served from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Suggested donation for breakfast is $10 and suggested donation for lunch is $15. Proceeds will go to Tuna and Debi Conrad and all Flashbacks employees families in the aftermath of the fire at the popular Flashbacks downtown restaurant.

Fourth Tuesday

at TCHS now next week

The first Tonganoxie Community Historical Society Fourth Tuesday program of 2026 has been postponed until this coming Tuesday due to inclement weather and frigid tremperatures.

It now will be 7 p.m. this coming Tuesday at the TCHS museum, 201 W. Washington St..

Speaker will be Zack Pistora, a 2006 THS graduate. Pistora’s program is “Getting the Green Light — Achieving Ecological Progress in Kansas.”
