Newton Parrott

Services for Newton Ervin Parrott, 76, Olathe, were Saturday, April 19, at Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee; burial was in Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.
Mr. Parrott died Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at Olathe Medical Center.
He was born May 21, 1931, in Denver, the son of Ervin L. and Virginia (Anderson) Parrott.
He was a proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran from 1950-54, serving in the Korean War. He par-ticipated in the Inchon landing and the Chosin Reservoir.
One of his fondest memories was when he coached little league baseball at the Johnson County 3&2 ballpark.
He was preceded in death by two infant sons, John and Ervin Parrott.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Evelyn (Grika) Parrott; four children, Michael, Tracy, Kacey and Christopher Parrott; and four grandchildren.
