A life remembrance for Melissa Lynn Sloan, 44, Shawnee, is being planned for a later date.
She died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, at home surrounded by her family.
She was born Jan. 8, 1964 in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Thomas and Revelle Sloan.
Ms. Sloan was a lifelong area resident and an insurance verifier at Quivira Internal Medicine.
Survivors include a daughter, Tasha Hull, of the home; life partner, J.R. McLaughlin, and his three children, Jerry, Heather and Jennifer McLaughlin; her parents, Thomas and Revelle Sloan, Overland Park; and a brother, Christopher Sloan, Olathe.
