Allen Owens

Services for Allen D. (Buddy) Owens, 53, were Saturday, Nov. 8, at Buchanan Funeral Home in Monet, Mo.
Mr. Owens died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, at St. Johns Medical Center, Joplin, Mo., after a long illness.
He was born Jan. 1, 1955, in Monet, the son of Lloyd Wayne and Naomi (Lawson) Owens. He had lived in the Bonner Springs area for 30 years, returning to southwest Missouri in 1988.
Mr. Owens was a 1972 graduate of Bonner Springs High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force and spent many years as a truck driver, ending his career in 2001with Tyson’s Foods Inc., Springdale, Ark.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Rhonda J. Owens, of the home; a son, Steven R. Owens, Reeds, Mo.; three sisters, Barbara Holmes, Winfield, Mo., Gail McCourt, Kearney, Mo., and Char Clifford, Lebanon, Mo.; and his mother-in-law, Nellie Zacharias, Tonganoxie, Kan
