Bobby Wilson
Services for Bobby Ray Wilson, 79, Shawnee, will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Leavenworth.
Mr. Wilson died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, at Trinity Nursing and Rehab, Merriam.
He was born Aug. 4, 1929, in Columbia, Ky., the son of Davis and Mary (Harman) Wilson.
Mr. Wilson was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a locator for Southwestern Bell for 30 years until his retirement.
Survivors include four sons, Jim, Brighton, Mo., Don and Robert, both of Shawnee, and Kevin Wilson, Olathe; four daughters, Melony A. Smart and Sherry Helmke, both of Shawnee, Renee Collins, Oak Grove, Mo., and Bobbie Jo Wilson, Eudora, Kan.; two sisters, Sharon and Judy; a brother, Billy; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at the chapel.
