Dayton Pearson

Services for Dayton (Pete) Roy Pearson will be March 16, 2009, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetary. Mr. Pearson, 67, died Sept. 16, 2008, in Dallas.
Mr. Pearson was born June 21, 1931, in Wellsville to Donald Robert and Mabel (Whipple) Pearson. He graduated from Baldwin High School in 1949.
He joined the United States Air Force upon graduation and served eight years as a radio engineer specialist. His career after the Air Force began as a field engineer for Collins Radio (Rockwell) in Richardson, Texas, in 1968 and ended as an avionic electronics specialist with MSA Aircraft Products in San Antonio. He retired in 1998.
Mr. Pearson is survived by his wife, Louann Pearson, of the home; a daughter, Trina Vaughan; granddaughter, Amber Vaughan; great grandson, Jasper M. Cash; stepsons, James Campbell, Charles G. Campbell, stepdaughter Kathryn Campbell Kendall; step-grandson, Alden James Campbell Kendall; a brother, Vern Wayne Pearson of Pittsburg; two nieces; and former wives, Norma Childs Pearson and Diane Fischer Pearson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; former wives, Dorothy Ryle Pearson and Joann Welch Pearson; infant daughter, Carol Lee; and sister-in-law, Dede Pearson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
