Elinor Rini

Mass of Christian Burial for Elinor L. Rini, 88, Lenexa, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Rini died Monday, Oct. 20, 2008, at Lakeview Village Care Center, Lenexa.
She was born June 6, 1920, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Roy A. and Marguerite (Richardson) Roush.
Mrs. Rini was an administrative assistant for Shasta Beverage and was once a singer in a country band. She charted the weather daily and was known for her comments such as, “I’m as healthy as a puppy” and “That’s no baloney Tony.”
Her husband, Matthew Rini, died in 2003.
Survivors include her brother, Alvin Roush, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and special friends, Timothy and Karen Cowick and their children, Kevin and Jenny, Shawnee.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. The family suggests memorials to either the Lakeview Village Foundation, 9100 Park, Lenexa, KS 66215 or Wayside Waifs, 3901 Martha Truman Rd., Kansas City, MO 64137.
