John Culp

Funeral Mass for John Edward Culp, 76, Mission, was Tuesday, Aug. 4, at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa.
Mrs. Culp died Friday, July 31, 2009, at his home.
He was born Aug. 22, 1932, in Kansas City, Kan. He graduated from Bishop Ward High School in 1950 and Donnelly College in 1952.  He was a Korean War veteran.
Mr. Culp retired from B. Blumenthal after 22 years as the warehouse supervisor. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church and a member of the Bishop Miege Council 843of the Knights of Columbus.
On Sept. 18, 1965, he married Marjorie Noll. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include his children, Mike and Rana Culp, Shawnee, Dianne and Larry Lux, Olathe, and Karen Culp and fiancé Kevin Cragg, Independence, Mo.; five grandchildren; a brother, Floyd and Corinne Culp, Kansas City, Kan.; and a sister, Mary Wearing, Decatur, Ga.
