Darrell Kahle

Services for Darrell E. Kahle, 74, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary’s Eudora chapel. Military honors will be conducted by Dorsey-Liberty Post No. 14, American Legion.
Mr. Kahle died on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born Dec. 16, 1934, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Arthur and Beulah McDivitt Kahle.
On Oct. 9, 1955, he married Geraldine Larson in Alta Vista. She died July 29, 2005.
Mr. Kahle was a district manager for Guys Potato Chips for 33 years. He retired in 1981, then took ownership of The Pub in Eudora. He was a member of Doric Masonic Lodge No. 83 in Eudora.
Survivors include three daughters, Lynn Reif, Dwight, Trisha Theas, Americus, and Darla Lamb, Kansas City, Mo.; a son, Gerald, Linwood; a brother, Ivor Lee, Manhattan; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.,Friday, followed by Masonic services conducted by Doric Masonic Lodge No. 83, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Association or Doric Masonic Lodge No. 83, sent in care of the mortuary, 120 W .13th St., Lawrence, KS 66044.
