Finis Cansler

Services for Finis Richard Cansler, 85, Shawnee, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, at Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Mr. Cansler died Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army and was retired from the Frisco/BNSF Railroad after 31 years.
Mr. Cansler was a faithful member of the Shawnee United Methodist Church.
Two daughters, Laura and Judy, died earlier.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Betty; a son, Steven (Kim) and daughter, Janeth (Dennis) Madden; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
