Dorothy Forck
Bonner Springs — Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy C. “Dot” Forck, 88, Bonner Springs, was Monday, Nov. 30, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Basehor. Interment was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, Kan.
Mrs. Forck died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009 at Bonner Springs Nursing Center, where she was living.
She was born March 28, 1921, in Argyle, Mo., the daughter of Henry and Mary (Borgmeyer) Brunnert. She had lived in the Kansas City area since 1950.
Mrs. Forck was a nurse’s aide at the old St. Margaret’s Hospital. She later worked in the foster grandparents program at Coronado Middle School.
She has been a member of Blessed Sacrament, St. Cyril’s and St. Rose and Holy Angels Catholic churches.
Her husband of 47 years, Leander H. “Lee” Forck, died in 1989.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Morris (Pidge), Bonner Springs; five sons, Leroy Forck, Kansas City, Mo., Sam Forck (Irene), Bonner Springs, Dale Forck (Charlene), Newtown, Pa., Gary Forck (Sue), Independence, Mo., and Randy Forck, Kansas City, Kan.; a sister, Emma Guyon, St. Peter’s, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
