Shawnee — Kenneth Crabaugh, 76, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Visitation was held Dec. 13, 2009, with a memorial service following at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.
Mr. Crabaugh was born Feb. 8, 1933, in Argentine, Kan. Ken graduated from Argentine High School where he met his high school sweetheart Kay Jones. They graduated and married in 1952. Ken was a design engineer for several companies in Kansas and retired from Kraft Tool. He was a senior MYF sponsor, Boy Scout leader, Girl Scout advisor, and youth baseball coach. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially trolling for bass on Grand Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Inez Crabaugh. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kay Jones Crabaugh; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Sandy Crabaugh of Kansas City, Kan.; daughter, Ronda Barker of Mission; granddaughters, Katy Crabaugh of Chesterton, Ind., and Andrea Crabaugh of Omaha, Neb.; brother, Marvin Crabaugh of Mission; and three nephews.
