Russel Stuart

Services for Russel F. Stuart, 89, Tonganoxie, were Jan. 26 at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kan.
Burial was in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Stuart died Jan. 22, 2009, at Providence Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan.
He was born Oct. 23, 1919, in Mt. Ayr, Iowa. Mr. Stuart was an electrician and member of IBEW Local 124, working for Great Northern Electrical Company for 35 years before he retired.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post 0041. Mr. Stuart loved to farm and he married his wife, Irene Stuart, on March 23, 1974. She survives.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Musselman, and his brother, Raymond Stuart.
Other survivors include two children, Donna Payne, Kansas City, Kan., and Roger Stuart Sr., Shawnee; five stepchildren; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
