Paul Fritschen

Mass of Christian Burial for Paul Fritschen, 79, of Basehor, was celebrated Tuesday, Jan. 6, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Basehor. Burial was in Holy Angels Cemetery.
Mr. Fritschen died Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.
He was born Aug. 1, 1929, in Dorrance, Kan.
Mr. Fritschen was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean War and a lifetime member of the American Legion. The majority of his work history was at Kaiser Aluminum in Kansas City, Kan. He had been retired since 1997.
He was a devoted member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Basehor.
Mr. Fritschen’s wife of 46 years, Sally Fritschen, died in 2007.
Survivors include two sons, Jim, Sulphur, La., and John, Little Rock, Ark.; a daughter, Paula Holden, Platte City, Mo.; a brother, Bill, Dorrance, Kan.; and six grandchildren.
