Ruth Jones

Services for Ruth Ellen Jones, 67, Kansas City, Kan., will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 16, at West Haven Baptist Church, Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Tonganoxie.
Mrs. Jones died Thursday, July 9, 2009, at her home.
She was born March 12, 1942, in Tonganoxie, the daughter of Mark and Susie Brown Matthews.
She worked for Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant and a Medicalodges nursing home. She was a member of Roswell Church of Christ, Kansas City, Kan.
She married John Edward Jones on Oct. 1, 1976, in Kansas City, Kan. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include eight brothers, Robert Matthews, San Diego, Earl Matthews, Dorchester, Mass., Mark Matthews, Bennington, Wash., Clifford Matthews, St. Louis, Jesse Matthews, Kansas City, Mo., Floyd Matthews, Tonganoxie, David Matthews, Leavenworth, and Claude Matthews, Kissimmee, Fla.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Two daughters, Diane and Kimberly Matthews, died earlier.
The family will meet friends one hour before the services.
