Virginia Scott

Graveside services for Virginia Royston Scott, 92, Eudora, were Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.
Mrs. Scott died Saturday, July 11, 2009.
She was born Dec. 12, 1916, in Newton, the daughter of Amos and Ella Royston.
She married John Scott. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, John Martin Scott, Dallas; two daughters, Barbara Scott Girard and Joella Scott Lock, Shell Knob, Mo.; two sisters, Roberta Shelor, Topeka, and Carol Smalley, Newton; a brother, John “Jack” Royston, Newton; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Virginia Scott Scholarship Fund, Alzheimer’s Association, or the American Cancer Society, sent in care of Petersen Funeral Home, 215 N. Main, Newton, KS 67114.
