Carl Dechman

Bonner springs — Private burial for Carl Antone Dechman, 84, Bonner Springs, will be at a later date at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth.
Mr. Dechman died Wednesday, July 22, 2009.
He was born on April 29, 1925, in Kansas City, Kan.
Mr. Dechman graduated from Argentine High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was an over-the-road truck driver for Navaho and ABF truck lines for many years. In his retirement he enjoyed picking up automobiles for the Roberts Auto Group.
His wife of 60 years, Edna L. Dechman, died in 2007.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Mindedahl, Edwardsville; a son, Wayne Dechman, Shawnee; a sister, Norma Lee Overfelt, Madison, Mo.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
