Lenexa — Mass of Christian burial for Laureano Avilio Prieto, 91, Lenexa, was Wednesday, July 29, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial was in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Prieto died Friday, July 24, 2009, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 22, 1918, in Havana, Cuba. A stillborn daughter died earlier.
Survivors include his wife, Ana Prieto, of the home; a daughter, Ana Taylor, Shawnee; a son, George A. (Juanita) Prieto, Edwardsville; a brother, Emilio A. Prieto, Matanzas, Cuba; four granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Holy Trinity Catholic Church or the American Heart Association, sent in care of Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS 66203.
