Edward Toothman
Services for Edward R. Toothman, 93, Basehor and previously of Kansas City, Kan., will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 11, at Victory Assembly Church in Bonner Springs. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Kansas City, Kan.
Mr. Toothman died Saturday June 6, 2009, at the Golden Living Center of Lansing.
He was born Jan. 4, 1916, in St. Joseph, Mo., the son of Perry E. and Inez E. (Hearne) Toothman. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. He retired from General Motors in 1974.
His wife of 65 years, Elizabeth V. (Harbord), died in 2000.
Survivors include a son, Donald E. and wife, Roberta M., Safford, Ariz.; two daughters, Betty L. Patrick and husband, Harold L., Lansing, and Geneva M. Hall and husband, Howard L., Basehor; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the service, also at the church.
