Wayne Clancy

Memorial services for Wayne L. Clancy, De Soto, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel, 32665 Lexington Avenue. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. He died March 11, 2009, at his De Soto home.
Mr. Clancy was born June 25, 1946, to Virgil and Anna Mae Clancy in Excelsior Springs, Mo. He graduated from Excelsior Springs High School in 1965. He joined the U.S. Navy after graduation a served 8 years as a sonar technician aboard the U.S.S. Ozbourn and U.S.S. Roark during the Vietnam War.
He married Karen Clevenger on Dec. 14, 1968. He worked for King Radio, Birdview Satellite, QMC and was currently employed at Hisonic Inc.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Karen, of the home; sons Aaron and his wife, Michelle Clancy, Olathe, Brent and his wife, Anne, Clancy, Ottawa; daughter Leeana and her husband, Brian, Harris, Ottawa; and nine grandchildren.
The family suggest memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
