James Duckworth

Bonner Springs — Graveside Services for James A. Duckworth, 58, Bonner Springs, were Saturday, May 9, at Versailles Cemetery in Versailles, Mo.
Mr. Duckworth died Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at Olathe Medical Center in Olathe.
He was born Jan. 30, 1951, in Golden City, Mo., the son of George and Nellie Jane (Pat) Duckworth.
Mr. Duckworth had worked in construction for more than 30 years and had been a general contractor since moving to the Bonner Springs area 13 years ago. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved watching his children in all of their sports.
On Dec. 12, 1992, in Barnett, Mo., he was married by his father to Jennifer Hoffa. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include three sons, Luke, Josh and Jake, all of Bonner Springs; three daughters, Trish Scroggs, Bollingbrooke, Ill., and Sarah Duckworth and Jessie Duckworth, both of the home; 10 grandchildren; four brothers, Bill and Tim, both of Bonner Springs, John, Shawnee, and Dan, Eldon, Mo.; and a sister, Jane Gilbert, Bonner Springs.
Arrangements were handled by Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, Bonner Springs, and Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles, Mo.
