Mary Proctor

Kansas City, Kan. — Services for Mary Kathleen “Kay” Proctor, 61, Baldwin City, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mary Butler Meyers Funeral Home, 6300 Parallel Pkwy., Kansas City, Kan. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, Kan.
Mrs. Proctor died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Nebraska, the daughter of Clyde and Carlene Bray.
Mrs. Proctor was raised in the Army until the age of 16. She attended her junior year at Leavenworth High School in 1964. She moved to De Soto in 1965, and graduated from De Soto High School in 1966.
Mrs. Proctor worked several jobs and was a cashier at Kmart and Sav-On. She retired as a cashier for Hobby Lobby.
She married Ron Proctor in December 1968. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Annette Castle and husband Jason, Tarney, Mo., and Rhonda Ryan and husband Dustin, Baldwin City; two sons, Travis Proctor and wife Kristie, Lawrence, and Phillip Proctor, Baldwin City; a sister, Ruth Ann Logan, Leavenworth; and three grandchildren, Alexa and Jerrid Ryan and Cynthia Castle.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts, uncles and her parents.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service at the funeral home.
