Mass of Christian Burial for Alice E. Richardson, 90, Shawnee, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Shawnee. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery
Mrs. Richardson died Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at Shawnee Gardens Nursing Center, Shawnee.
Alice was born Aug. 4, 1919, in Shawnee, the daughter of George M. and Leona (Callahan) Haas. She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School.
Mrs. Richardson retired from TED Manufacturing in 1984.
She married Oliver A. Richardson on June 15, 1940, in Shawnee, KS. He died March 12, 2000.
A daughter, Janet L. Jacobi, died Feb. 2, 1982.
Survivors include four children and their spouses, Carolyn (Roger) Starrett, Leesburg, Fla., Mike (Johnell) Richardson, Lawrence, Tom (Terri) Richardson, Lenexa, and Joyce (Paul) Soetaert, Shawnee; two sisters, Mary Henke, Shawnee, and Irene Smeltzer, Apopka, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Jane Sherman, Shawnee; six grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee, where the rosary will be said at 6 p.m.
The family suggests memorials to the Lupus Foundation, sent in care of the funeral home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS 66203.
