Gary Martin

Memorial services for Gary Lee Martin were Saturday, Sept. 19, at the De Soto Baptist Church. He died Sept. 15 after a long battle against leukemia.
Mr. Martin was born Jan. 3, 1943, in Grove, Okla., to Earl and Elizabeth Martin. He graduated from De Soto High School in 1960 and married Anita Roach on June 7, 1964.
He worked for Consolidated Freightways for 30 years before retiring in 1999. He was active in the De Soto Jaycees, the De Soto Volunteer Fire Department and the De Soto Baptist Church.
Mr. Martin was proceeded in death by his parents and a grandson Sam Martin. He is survived by his wife, Anita, of the home; a brother; Everett Martin, Grove, Okla.; a son, Mike and his wife, Sally, De Soto; two daughters, Kim Thelen and her husband, Dave , De Soto. and Missy Krudwig and her husband, John Krudwig, De Soto; and five grandchildren.
Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel of De Soto was in charge of arrangements.
