Morris, Ill. — A visitation for Dennis R. “Rusty” Berard, 62, of Morris, Ill., and formerly of Shawnee, will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010, with a memorial service following at 2 p.m. at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.
Mr. Berard died Thursday, April 8, 2010, at Hines Veterans Hospital, Hines, Ill.
He was born on Feb. 2, 1948, in Springfield, Mass. Dennis enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on April 20, 1966, serving one tour of duty in Vietnam and was honorably discharged on April 20, 1970. He then married Virginia J. “Ginny” Huff on April 15, 1967, in Los Angeles, Calif.
Dennis is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 43 years, Ginny Berard of Morris, Ill.; two sons, Robert Berard of Morris, Ill., and Ronald (Tiffany) Berard, Valdosta, Ga.
