Charles Wise Jr.

Funeral Mass for Charles Richard Wise Jr., 82, of Kansas City, Kan., was Tuesday, April 20, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Kansas City, Kan. Burial was in Bonner Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Wise died Friday, April 16, 2010, at his home.
He was born April 26, 1927, in Kansas City. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, stationed in Pensacola, Fla. Later he worked as a rural mail carrier for more than 30 years in Kansas City, Kan. He retired in 1987. He was a past president and member of the Bethels Men’s Club.
His wife of 54 years, Claire Collette (McCarty) Wise, died in 2008.
Survivors include four children, Patrick Wise, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Dennis Wise, Prairie Village, Michael Wise, Platte City, Mo., and Mary Wise, Leavenworth; a brother, Robert Wise, Basehor; and a sister, Doris Mogle, Basehor; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, Bonner Springs, handled arrangements.
