Marjorie Heter

Services for Marjorie Boyle Heter, 95, were Monday, April 26, at Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Graveside services were at Spring Grove Cemetery, Boyle, Kan.
Mrs. Heter died Thursday, April 22, 2010, at Menorah Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 29, 1914, in Boyle, a small Kansas town named for her pioneering grandparents, John and Mary Boyle. She was the first of four girls born to Charles and Grace Boyle.
After graduation from Winchester High School, she attended Kansas University, where she met her husband of 64 years, Marvin Wood Heter. They lived in Kansas City, Mo. and Davenport, Iowa, before moving to their “last stop” in Mission.
Her husband, Marvin, and a grandson, Ravi, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a sister, Marian Wallace, Winchester; six children: Tom (Jean), Garland; David (Marie), Lee’s Summit, Mo.; John, Lindsborg; Charles (Vicki), Roeland Park; Gracie Luce, Mission; and Steve, Alta Vista; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
