William Devore

Services for Bill Devore, 84, of Shawnee, were Tuesday, April 27, at Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Burial was in De Soto Cemetery.
Mr. Devore died Monday, April 26, 2010.
He was born March 11, 1926, in Kilmichael, Miss.
Mr. Devore served four years in the U.S. Navy. He worked at and retired from O’Neill Oldsmoble. He was also an animal lover who visited Shawnee Mission Park to watch the deer before sunrise (search Google for Bill Devor and deer at Shawnee Mission Park).
Survivors include his wife, Dell; two sons, Jerry and Dale Devore; a stepson, James Long; and two sisters, Margaret and Sarah.
