Marie Snyder

Services for Marie C. Snyder, 93, of Tonganoxie, will be 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13, at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday before the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Snyder died Monday, Aug. 9, 2010, at home.
She was born Sept. 19, 1916, in St. Joseph, Mo., to Paul and Anna Frederick. She was a faithful member of Victoria Tabernacle Church, touching many lives as a devoted prayer warrior, who never stopped helping those in need of her strong and relentless faith in God.
She was a member of the Eastern Star and worked in the Turner School District for 23 years, before retiring at the age of 70. Marie also had a passion for quilting, reading and crocheting. She is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Paul Wesley Snyder; her son, Charles Wesley Snyder, grandson, Charles “C.W.” Snyder, and granddaughter; Bridgette Scarbrough.
Survivors include her son; Paul Albert (Glenna) Snyder, Tonganoxie; daughters; Carolyn (Jim) Scarbrough, Hot Springs, Ark., and Janet Snyder, Tonganoxie. Left behind to cherish her memory are her six grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
